River Transcript Voice Recording

What inspired the story behind What the River Wants?
The novel began as a short tribute to my late mother, a strong Mississippi woman. As I wrote, the characters grew deeper and more complex, and the story expanded naturally into a full novel.

Author Q&A

I hope readers reflect on their own lives and relationships. Literature allows us to step outside our lives for a moment and see ourselves more clearly.
